Thank you for buying a genuine Dawnchaser product. We are proud to design and manufacture high-quality products to make your camping experience more enjoyable.
Each of our products carries a warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Please read the following policy to ensure you understand the terms and conditions relating to our warranty.
Warranty periods
The warranty period for each component of your Dawnchaser camp light is:
- Light body: 5 years
- Battery pack: 2 years
- Accessories (including the charging cable, adaptor, and pole clips): 1 year
Each warranty period commences on the date the product is purchased by the original purchaser. The warranty is not transferable if the product is resold. We reserve the right to change the warranty period from time-to-time, but any changes will only affect products sold after the date on which the change comes into effect.
To access the benefits of your warranty, you must retain your proof of purchase.
Our policy
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
In addition to these guarantees, we offer the warranty described in this policy against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is provided by Dawnchaser Pty Ltd, ABN 45 681 844 673 of PO Box 6386, Mordialloc VIC 3195. You can contact us about this warranty at warranty@dawnchaser.com.au.
Nothing in this warranty policy is intended to limit or replace your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

- Complete the form located here. You will need to upload your proof of purchase and photos or videos of the fault before submitting the form.
- Once we have received your claim and undertaken a preliminary assessment, we may ask you to return the product to us for further examination. If so, we will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number.
- If we ask for the product to be returned, you must arrange for it to be shipped back to us at the address we provide you. If your claim is accepted, we will reimburse you for any reasonable return shipping costs you have paid, as long as you can provide us with a receipt evidencing payment.

Once we receive the returned product, our technicians will examine it and notify you of the outcome of your claim.
If your claim is accepted
We will either repair or replace the product, or provide a refund, at our discretion. Any products that we choose to replace or refund become our property. A repaired or replacement product is covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.
If your claim is not accepted
We will provide you with a written reason and hold your product for collection. You will need to arrange and pay for the product to be collected from us and shipped back to you.
If your product is not collected within 30 days of our notification, we will contact you again in writing. If it remains uncollected after that, we may deal with it as uncollected goods in accordance with applicable legislation in the State of Victoria, where our service centre is located, which may include selling or otherwise disposing of it.
Reasons for non-acceptance
Your warranty claim will not be accepted if there is evidence of one or more of the following:
- Negligence or abuse: improper or extreme use, or damage beyond the limits of normal wear and tear.
- Chemical exposure: for example, cleaning with corrosive or unsuitable substances.
- Unauthorised repair: repairs performed by anyone other than an authorised service centre.

- Damage caused by other equipment: damage to your product caused by the failure of another piece of equipment, such as a third-party power supply.
The instruction manual that comes with your product may stipulate additional circumstances or actions which may lead to warranty claims being declined.
