No corners cut.
Every part of Dawnchaser’s manufacturing process is carefully calibrated to ensure every unit that leaves our factory is perfect.
Quality control is embedded into every aspect of production, from the receipt of raw materials through to the assembly and packaging of finished goods. We don’t just check a selection; we check every single unit at four different points during the process.

Incoming materials quality control (IQC)
When raw materials used in the production of our products first arrive at the factory, they are not immediately put away. First, our IQC department extensively checks and tests the components for quality and records the results. This ensures defective components do not enter the manufacturing process.
Controlled-environment component storage
To ensure longevity and prevent degradation prior to use, sensitive electronic components are stored in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment, which is constantly monitored by calibrated thermometers and hygrometers. Measurements are recorded several times per day.

Automated SMT production line
The Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) that control the function of our lights are produced using a fully automated production line, which incorporates an IPQC (in-process quality control) testing process on every PCBA produced before it is cleared to enter the next stage of manufacturing.
Assembly and final testing
After the units are assembled into finished goods, they undergo a final round of manual testing. Each unit is visually examined under a computerised magnifier for integrity and correct assembly, and all functions are tested to ensure the assembled unit is not defective.

Serialisation
Each unit is inscribed with a unique serial number, which allows us to keep track of important information such as manufacturing date, batch, firmware version. This helps to enhance our quality assurance processes, and makes after-sales support smoother.
