Control in the palm of your hand

Where's the switch for these lights? It's wherever you are. Control the lights easily via our smartphone app, without needing internet access. Don't worry, there's also a physical switch in case your phone goes dead!

Greater than 180 degree beam spread

Our unique curved and ribbed lens design diffuses the light from the LED chips, creating an even beam that spreads more than 180 degrees.

Removable 40Wh lithium battery

We've designed our lights with a removable battery. If the battery runs out, you won't lose use of the light for hours while it recharges – just simply swap it out for a spare!

Multiple Control Methods

One of the frustrations with many app-enabled products is that you can only control them with the app. It can be very inconvenient if your phone goes missing or the battery goes flat.

That’s why we’ve designed our Dawnchaser camp lights with a physical button as well, to give you another way to control them even if you can’t use your phone. You can not only turn the lights on and off with the button, but also cycle through the different colours as well. On the RGB lights you can cycle through 8 preset colours, and on the white & amber lights you can cycle through all 3 colours at 100% and 50% brightness.

  • How durable are the Dawnchaser lights?

    Very. They’re Australian-designed to handle the rough and tumble of off-road travel and harsh camping conditions. Built with high-quality materials from brands such as DuPont, American Bright LED and Lexan, they’re rugged, reliable, and ready for real adventures.

  • How quick and easy is the setup?

    Setup is extremely easy. Most customers have their lights set up in under one minute. No cables, no inline dimmer switches, no need to connect to a 12V power source. Just attach the battery, hang or mount the light, and you’re ready to go.

  • Do I need Wi-Fi or mobile internet to use the lights?

    No, Wi-Fi or mobile internet are not required to operate the lights. The lights work perfectly on their own using the built-in button (on/off and basic colour switching). Pairing them with the free Dawnchaser app (via Bluetooth) gives you advanced features like fine brightness adjustment, colour setting, grouping and battery status.

  • Is the Dawnchaser app easy to use?

    Yes! The app is intuitive and designed for campers. You can control one light or your entire setup; adjust brightness, switch between colours, group multiple lights, and share control with up to 5 devices (great for families or groups).

  • Can I control multiple lights at once?

    Absolutely. You can group multiple lights of the same type in the app and control them together as one unit. Perfect for lighting up gazebos, tent areas, kitchen areas or awnings.

  • What colours and lighting modes are available?

    We offer two ranges:

    • White & amber lights — Cool white, warm white, and amber (great for insect deterrence).
    • RGB lights — Full colour spectrum with 16.7 million colours, presets, and dynamic effects.
  • How do the amber lights help reduce bugs around the campsite?

    Our white & amber camp lights use specially selected 610nm single-wavelength amber LED chips. This wavelength takes advantage of amber light’s naturally lower positive phototaxis effect — meaning most flying insects are far less attracted to it compared to white or other coloured lights. It’s perfect for keeping the camp kitchen or dining area more comfortable without harsh chemicals.

  • How long does the battery last?

    Each light comes with a removable lithium battery that lasts up to 6 hours on full brightness. Battery life extends significantly on lower brightness settings. You can easily swap in a spare battery (sold separately) for longer use.

  • What if I need more battery power for longer use?

    The batteries in Dawnchaser camping lights are removable so you can hot-swap them easily, and we sell spare batteries separately. Many customers carry a couple of spares for multi-day adventures.

  • What warranty and support do you provide?

    All Dawnchaser products come with long warranties (check product pages for specific details) and we stand behind our gear. We stock a range of spare parts and provide friendly in-person support via email or live chat (no AI chatbots!) because we’re campers ourselves. If something goes wrong on the road, we’ve got you covered.
